Being an adventuresome fool, I am going to make a bodysok for my Mueller-faired RANS V2.

I built a scaffold similar to what I see on the Easyracers site, and I am using the too-few photos I find for design clues. I am hampered by the fact that, for all talk about "go-fast" on this site, there is a dearth of bodysok discussion or information.

I bought Lycra at a local fabric shop; standard weight (maybe too thin) dance fabric (full stretch).

Things I cannot figure out from photos are:

1. Does the hook or the loop of the Velcro mount to the fairing?

2. What is the purpose of the (what looks like a) double layer of fabric running diagonally from near the seat to the area of the handlebar?

3. The fabric has a coarser, "shiny" side, and a smoother side. Which side faces out?

4. What weight or strength are the zippers in the top and arm slots?

5. Does anyone have good bodysok photos that can give us adventurers a leg-up?

6. Can anyone who has done this before post on their trials, errors, successes and failures?

All the materials except the velcro and zippers has cost me $50 for sok and scaffolding.

Thanks for any help.
