Touring - What model Benotto

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
How do I tell what year and model Benotto I have? It has Suntour Down Tube shifters, 27" wheels Normany hubs and a 6 speed rear. Cranks say 165 mm Raleigh. Has a solid aluminum rack on rear.
Any help is appreciated.

downtube shifters, 27 inch wheels, 6 speed cassette...
could be a new as the late eighties, maybe even a year or two into the nineties. but who knows...
i would do a search online for older benotto catalogues and see if a picture matches your bike. pay attention to any color options given in the catalogue as your bike may not be the same color as the model shown.
let us know what you find.

Post this in the Classic and Vintage forum (there's a "Forum Jump" drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen) and somebody will be able to identify it. They're gonna ask for pictures, though, so be prepared.
