i have the pave on my cyclocross bike. it's an amazingly comfortable saddle, and ideal for dismounts and mounts. the elastomers do tend to get squeaky when they get dirt, but that's why god gave us silicone lubricant sprays.

One of those came standard equipment on my Cannondale. After my ride around the parking lot I upgraded to something else. Anything is better than Paves in my opinion.

everyone's ass is different.
I ride the carbon fiber Aliante, and it's like buttah for the booty. It's the best saddle that I've found, thus far. I like it so much that I've also put one on my mtb. It's definitely worth the money.

Therein lies the problem. One person's physique might make the Pave the perfect saddle, but for another person it would be very uncomfortable.
When you ask about a saddle, you might want to put in your size and weight, and ask for comments from others that are similary sized.
Since every discussion of saddles must have the obligatory mention of Brooks, I hereby mention Brooks saddles!

I've got the Pave and it rocks, best saddle I've had.

just to prove the point, I have a pave and really don't feel comfortable with it. I was told it would break in, but after 500 miles it's more likely to break my ass!
I feel a different saddle in my future. I was going to say "a saddle upgrade in my future" but I'm not sure it's so much an upgrade as getting something that fits me better.

I've had both. Rode a ti railed Pave 'til I wore out the leather on the nose and replaced it with a ti railed Aliante. Comfort-wise, both have been fine... I like saddles with a round-ish profile. The Aliante is really comfortable for such a light saddle, IMO.
Re/the Aliante, I concur with the reviews on roadbikereviews.com. The leather is pretty thin and fragile. In a moment of prodigious klutziness, I closed my car trunk and it hit my Aliante, tearing the leather across the back edge. I didn't hit particularly hard! I emailed Fizik to see if it could be repaired. After about 3 weeks a reply came back, (paraphrasing) 'no dice.' That sux for a $150 saddle (although I paid about 1/2 that).

Size wise I am 65 kg, small build. And thanks for the info guys. Still undecided on paying for the Aliante unless I know that it would suit me perfectly. Also there are 2 types of cover for the saddle, the black leather or the ice blue microtek cover? Any one here tried the microtek version? cause some comments regarding the fading of the leather version.
Also 2 new models called Arione & Gobi coming out next month, wondering if any info or reviews on them. Thanks

I rode a century with a guy that has the blue cover model last week. I don't know how old it was, but it was completely butchered... holes all along the edges, etc. Good news is, it still worked fine, just not pretty.
I'm a fairly small individual, too. 5'5 and 120. My saddles are relatively new, so I haven't had any issues with the leather, yet. I guess I'll have to wait and see, and I crash my mtb a lot (so that's kinda worrisome.)

I also bought a carbon Aliante for my new Cannondale. The cost had me fairly choked up but I am pleased as punch with it. It is by far the most comfortable saddle I have ever owned. Not once have I had any numbness on rides up to 53 miles.
