it's not that bad - biggest headache seems to be keeping the betteries cool but, because they're Li-ion they're pretty small and light, there's minimal space lost.

even with a lead acid conversion you can shoe horn batteries into unusual spaces (under the flatbed)

Good God that is one ugly car! I`d rather drive a Mini-Van. Thats so ugly I`d rather drive a `91 Ford Taurus station wagon with a big-*** guard-rail dent in the drivers side.

i think the biggest headache is disposing of all those batteries once they no longer hold sufficient charge! :eek:

diesel-hybrids or straight diesel is the way to go. I hope it takes over the USA soon now that we have low sulfer diesel and some manufacturers can meet the emission standards set in CALIF for passenger cars.
