Has anyone heard of any updates on his condition and / or any findings on what caused his front fork to fail?
Just wondering...

I just called Ken

He is doing great. He has his top 5 cervical vertebrae fused with the supporting rods and screws. His top pivot point is now C6 rather than the normal C2 so he probably will not be able to get into Cirque Soleil.

He is now 100% off of pain pills and is pretty much pain free. Big step there.

He is riding a recumbent stationary bike and is thrilled to be pedaling again.

He goes to the doctor in 5 weeks. If things are still progressing as well, he will be able to ride his bike in a fixed trainer. He is looking forward to that.

If things keep progressing as we all know it will, he will be able to ride a real bike on the road at the end of August. I will join him on the first ride because it may be the only time I will be able to beat him.

His spirits are extremely high. I think this goes a long way toward a speedy and complete recovery.

No word yet on the fork and what may have happened. The bike and fork are in the hands of the experts who are currently doing the analysis.

Thanks, Jim, for that update. Good to hear that this gentleman is recovering! :)
