It's denmark - the price is in danish krone. 5.02 per dollar, so it's usd1200. Sounds fair :)

Danes use Krone(r). Works out to $1215 US (before shipping and duty)

Ok that makes much more sense. Now what kind of brakes does this bike have? They look like they have steel rods instead of cables.

Most interesting. And yes, that is rod brakes for the Raleigh Roadster. Didn't know they sold these anymore. Also note 28"x1-1/2" tires.
