I should have mentioned that my commute to work is mostly downhill while the route home is the real workout (La Tuna), but I agree with you that it feels weird to just put on slacks like that. That's the only reason I wash up because let's face it, being surrounded by a bunch of adolescents who probably shower twice a week I'm the only one who would know :D I don't know about your school, but none of the students shower after PE. Yuck!

My commute is rather short. I find that even if I get all sweaty, the clothing still doesn't stink (at least to me ). I just hang it out to dry in my office, use baby wipes to clean myself up a little and then change. Wearing the bike clothes again at night for the commute to work seems ok; and I wash them out as soon as I get home (along with a nice shower).

What about MTB shorts? I wear some Endura Humvee knickers or shorts (i've got both) depending on the temperature. They look "normal" enough and function just fine as cycling clothes (and have lots of secure pockets). :)

If any of the guys I train with saw me in those shorts, they would give me a way harder time than the kids ever could.

None of my students take a shower after PE because most of them don't exert themselves strenuously enough to need one!!

lol true at my school as well, but there are a select few who do, because I can smell it when they have my class next!
