So I happened to be standing around, eating a bag of vanilla wafers when my friend drove by. Not thinking twice, I grabbed one and threw it at her car. What happened next was nothing short of extraordinary. It flew in a straight path for about 150 feet (although it missed her car)!
I'd never really thought about it, but a vanilla wafer is shaped like a round airfoil.. i.e. like a frisbee. If you can get it to spin rapidly and stable enough in a horizontal plane, it will generate lift depending on how fast you throw it. Try it at an upwards angle! Don't throw it like a frisbee, wrap your index finger around it and throw sidearm, letting it roll off at the end.
Just thought ya'd like to know :p

Oh ... FYI and for your own sanity - do NOT go look for anything vanilla wafer on youboob ... looks like a bunch of 8 yr olds did a "funny" but it's not. That was a 30 second waste of breath :)

Nilla wafer ninja
Sharpen some points on it and make it a Ninja throwing star (shuriken)!

Well, it does have the same aerodynamic profile as a wing.
Curved top, flat bottom and all...

Precisely like that, although if you have a really quick wrist, I suppose you could throw it like a normal frisbee. I haven't tried it.
Be sure to practice first.. it's not easy throwing it so that it's stable in the horizontal plane. Probably has to do with the amount of drag compared to its weight and the fact that the mass isn't distributed mostly at the rim like a frisbee. I've had the best success throwing it at an upwards angle.. it seems to climb.
Poor Knerr.. man was a marketing genius. Frisbee, Slip & Slide, Superball; they're all legitimate products and legitimate fun.

Probably the only frisbees my dogs would chase. Wouldn't get 'em back though. Wouldn't want 'em back.

Excellent ... next time I find myself caught in a Smarties fight (which happens more often than one would expect) I might have to keep a box of Nilla Wafers near by as heavy artillery. Good to know!

FYI, in the Ultimate world, that's known as a 'push pass'... not something you generally want to do in-game, but is a nice easy variant of a flick for short distances.
