I am buying a new Campy Chorus Carbon Crank that will be 34-50. I run my cassette (10 speed) at 11-23 and sometime 11-25 (mountains).

Will my short cage derailleur work? Or do I need a medium cage?

Thanks in advance!

Short will suffice.

Campy's guidelines:

XXx26 or smaller cassette and a double crank = short cage
13x29 cassette and a double crank = Medium cage
13x26 or 29 cassette and a triple crank = long cage.

Short will work. I use the identical crank and der set up on a 13-26 cassette. Shifts like a dream.

FWIW: You didn't ask, but if you have a standard Campy front derailleur, it should work properly as well, as does mine. You'll need to lower the front derailleur a touch to match up with the smaller large chainring. I did put a chain keeper on the seat tube as I had problems with the chain dropping on front upshifts.
