I'll be off. 1 hour easy Bonelli Park loop from my house. It's still an easy day, even if I don't have to work.

Hadn't thought about it yet. I'm off from school & work, so I'll definitely do something. Maybe just do the Simi Valley/Big Skyy ride with SFVBC. Try and put in 60+ miles--continuing to try and Get AJ (and myself to some degree) ready for the Palm Springs Century.

Unless alternatives come up...:D

Cool, quite a few people. Since I'll be doing Montrose Sat and that SGRT century the next weekend, I should get some climbing in. If conditions are favorable, anybody up for Big T or something like that?

Oh, to zoom in, on the information bar on the left side, click on the little blue arrow to close it. :)

Grand Ave -> Diamond Bar Blvd -> Brea Blvd -> State College -> Kramer -> SART

My friends are trying to get me to do a round trip but they're crazy and haven't been cycling as much as me (and even i'm not up for a round trip).

I just need to convince my girlfriend to meet up with us for a BBQ hopefully. :D

Yeah...I'd like to. Never done Big T or AC. Missed the Wilson ride on 1/1.

If you really want to spend your legs, we can ride up AC to Upper Big T then down Big T for a 60 mile ride that will feel like a century. I'd just like someone to verify for me that there's no snow at that level yet (close to Mt. Wilson).

I was up there Monday, and I was surprised to see a couple tiny patches of crusty snow near Red Box. They were in the shade, under brush... nothing to be concerned about up there. As long as the rain stays away.

ME, I'd love to do a ride with you, but Saturdays are my sleeping in days... meaning rides start after 7am. If you can wait that long, the rest of us might be willing to start then.

What are you talking about, Brian? I'm referring to the mtbike ride on Sunday that starts at 8 am. :p

Great, so I'll see you the next day at 8am to ride to Red Box, right?

So let's set it. Who's in for riding AC to Red Box and down Big T on Monday meeting 8am at the rose Bowl? No drop ride with waiting points at Angeles Forest/AC, Red Box, Upper Big T/AC, and Upper Big T/Angeles Forest.

I actually feel pretty safe going through Carbon Canyon. Most of the people that commute through that stretch of road are 'regulars' and they all seem to be pretty nice (trained) and will move over for bicyclists.

Besides, when you are there at the right time, like this afternoon, you might catch the local girls track team doing their training run. They are also very friendly to cyclists. :D

I'm getting hypnotized at 3:30pm that day in Glendale. Do you think this ride will be done in time for me to make that appointment?

Sounds good to me. We'll meet at Descanso at 8am.

Speaking conservatively, we should be back to Descanso before 1:00 if we average 12 mph (don't laugh, it's a lot of climbing), 2:00 if at a snail's pace (10 mph).

If anyone wants me to make a route slip, let me know (although it will be very simple)

That's cutting it really close for me. I'm a maybe, but I most likely I'll start at 7am from my house.

Well, if the others are ok starting earlier (no earlier than 7:30 since I'm riding from my house at 7 too) that's fine with me.

I've been trying to think of a funny hypnotizing joke but can't get it to come out right.

OK I made a thread for it. I'll ride it even if only one other person comes with.
