at the Bike forums website. I've done a little scouting and observe that ther are some acronyms I'm not familiar with... MUP for example?
Been roading for many years and many places. In no particular order, PA, CO, CA, OH, FL, MI, NC, UT, AZ and a few others that escape me at the moment. To me, bicycling is addicting. There's nothing like being out on the open road (Or city street or trail) completely exposed to the elements (No, I don't ride naked, that's just an expression) with the wind in my face...why is the wind always in my face? And the sounds and smells all around.
Doesn't matter what might be troubling me, all I need do is hop on two wheels and everything falls into place. Have you ever tried to worry while concentrating on making the next hill, not getting dropped by your group or dodging a road hazard? Impossible...it's just you, the road and the bicycle.
I don't ride to escape. I ride to think and dream as well as continue my war against gravity. I know it's a war we all eventually lose but I do whatever I can to win a few battles.
Seems like there's too much stress associated with competing for space out there...what with all the cars and trucks and pedestrians hogging space. Don't approach it that way since we all have similar goals and reasons for being here. Enjoy the moment...no need to hurry or get upset about some transgression by a vehicle or another rider. Let 'em pass and chalk up another victory for yourself.
