Im looking for a weekend rally for my wife and I this summer, and dont know where to start looking. We live in Eastern PA, and would be willing to drive up to 6 hours to make a rally. Camping would be preferred (looking to go low-cost if possible) but if the price is reasonable we would do a package deal. Anyone have any suggestions?

How about at my Web site?

There are a couple of events that will fall within your 6 hour driving target range, and a couple that are a bit further but would be well worth the drive. You might also want to check out the Lancaster bicycle club's tandem wing (they were previously affiliated with the Tandems of York, which disbanded due to a lack of new volunteer leadership) as well as the Washington Area Bicycles In Tandem group as they also have smaller, informal weekend rides.

Anyone going to Tulsa in April?

Check out the Prarie State Tandem Rally in Illinois. I don't know exactly where it's being held this year.

The concept of this rally is to keep it simple enough for a one couple to put together with logistical help from the Cats. There's a registration limitation, roads might not be painted, banquet is a catered barbeque in some park. It's historically been very economical. We've done it a couple of times and have been very favorably impressed.
