My apologizes if this has been discussed, but how do the chorus components rank (compare) to durace and ultegra? I'm looking to buy a bike and need to be prepared before plunking down my hard earned cash.
Thanks!

Chorus and Ultegra are next to the top of the line.
Record and Dura Ace are at the top.
I think the general opinion is that Dura Ace and Chorus are similar, while Record is slightly higher in performance and cost. Ultegra in my opinion is more like Centaur. Just my $0.02.
I agree with LSR, the only real difference between Chorus and Record is weight. Which is done by using Ti and carbon parts. THat is why alot of people so Chorus is on same level as Dura-Ace and Record is above it.
Here's a comparison.
