I just purchased a used Leader 735R frame on ebay but still need to get a fork and headset to match. According the the Leader website, this frame has an integrated headtube and specs "16/cc", which I've never heard of until now. I did some googling and found that quite a few other bikes spec 16/cc with various brand headsets (Shimano, FSA, etc), but when searching headsets alone, have yet to find and actual headset that mentions this type. Some of the other Leader frames spec Cane Creek IS, so I'm guessing there is a difference.

So, the question: What the heck is "16/cc"???

The S is missing: IS-6 Cane Creek

That kind of makes sense, although the website says "16", not "I6", and there are other bikes out there who spec the same "16/cc", but from FSA and TH industries (I'm sure I came across shimano to, earlier):

Some of the Leader frames do spec Cane Creek IS, do they all accept the same headset regardless? If it is IS-6, will other Cane Creek headsets work as well, such as the IS-2? I'm on a budget here...

It is a TH Industries headset. The part number is No.16/CC.

Probably as well. I got a PM from 'LeaderBike' stating that 16/cc was spec'd before Cane Creek came out with the IS. It uses the FSA Orbit CC as well as the Cane Creek IS models.

As long as it is the correct spec. headset, it does not matter what brand it is.

IS-2 is the same as IS-6, except the IS-6 has better bearings.
