Hi guys, have a couple of questions that maybe you can answer better than an outright guess or two that I might be making.
Here is the motor I bought off of ebay, i think i got a pretty good deal. It's a skyhawk 48v 500w front hub motor.

My daily commute is a little over 10 miles if i take the shorter route, but... has almost 1000' of climbing on the round trip. 650' on the last 2 miles of the way in to work and 350' in the last mile or so on the way home.

I'm thinking about these LiFePO4 batteries to save weight, space, and because a lot of rides are below freezing here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220192080361
Not sure if I should get the 48v 15AH or if i can get away with the 10AH kit and still have the umph to get up the hill to home.
One other question... Im considering using my Cannondale touring bike. This would require building the hub motor into a 700c wheel. What impact would that have on the above in regard to speed, distance and torque.
Thanks for any input you can provide !!
Don
P.S. My Girlfirend says that i should get a shirt made with this on the back:
"I built this electric bike because I never want to have sex again"
lol... I guess she thinks I'm pretty nerdy :roflmao:
