Foo - Anyone have a "Fetchy" Kitty?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
2nd one in my lifetime is here in this house. She loves her little ball - preferably the spongy one that for some reason is always sopping wet (have no idea why you can actually wring it out - hmmm where to make it wet - ick) and she runs in, announces herself with a little meow-lish question-like "rouu???" - still with ball in mouth (a kitty with many abilities - ahem) - and she drops the ball at your feet. Or if you're in bed - right by your head. Or hand ...
And so you throw it ... and she gets it and comes back.
And so you throw it ... and she gets it and comes back.
you get the pattern ...
I mean dogs do this, but kitties?
hehe I must say shooting the little ball down the windy stairway allows for all 5 kitties to have some good scrambly fun.
And then she comes back ... :D
Um, can somebody please take over shooting this ball? :D Rouuu??

Can you train them to drop it in a little tennis ball thrower thing? I keep a bed of Catnip growing outside and when they become too demanding I drug them.

I made the BIG mistake of bringing home a bag of cat HEROIN. Innocent catnip stuffed cute lil meesies. Good grief - catnip made them even MORE nuttier - they broke things, killed plants - found two rolls of toilet paper and dismantled them across the 1st floor and did some bad things as well.
hehe, I walked downstairs the next morning and slunk out the door and went to work. Came home to find my roommate looking at me funny like asking me if any of those new funkadelic mice with sequins on them had catnip in them. I sheepishly said No, well I guess not ...
So anyways - no funkadelic sequined mice in our house - it's see thru balls or spongy things for them. With 5 cats (3 of them half grown kittens) in the house - it gets kind of nuts when they hit their "nutty" times during the day so no more catnip for me!!! :D

No my cat "Big Head" won't fetch. Although he does go ape **** at 3:00am every morning. Then after I get pissed enough to get out of bed and chase him around yelling "settle the **** down Big Head", he'll settle down, climb in bed, lay down on my head and snore. Then at 6:00AM when my alarm goes off, I try to wake him up when he's sound asleep and he just ignores me.

While I'm kinda looking forward to having a more relaxed "older" kitty ... I rather enjoy this high energy high falootin ball of energy at the moment - he and his two other siblings are about 8 months old and they're nuts. Right now they're racing around the house (oh and ball is sitting by foot - unused at the moment :D)

yeah my american bobtail cat BUD will play fetch with empty cigarette packs all balled up,same thing over and over,i throw it he gos gets it and brings it me to throw again! i always thought that was a dog trick,so i started working with him on other dog tricks i havent got the play dead routine down yet,but we for sure have the give me five down to a science. so my feetchy kitty is a give me five kitty to and we are still workink on play dead!
My cat Truman loves him a good game of paperwad.
My wife's cat like to bring live lizards into the house to see my wife scream and yell. The cat just enjoys the hell out of that. We still have two that I have yet to find, dead or alive and for all I know they might have become food or the kids my have caught them and release back into the wilds of my back yard.
one of my current cats likes crumpled paper but def. doesn't fetch. I've had one kitty in my lifetime who did.

Train her to fetch a beer from the fridge and then you will have something to brag about:-)

I've had a few cats that do that, and have seen several cats that friends have do it too. I don't think it's too weird, I mean they just want to play.
