Got up early but it was raining and nasty so I rolled over and went back to sleep finially got up at 8:30 am felt good to not get up I am so close now i can hardly believe it. I got coffie and a bagal Got rolling at 11:30 the rain was about stoped the temp was about 50 not bad for this time of year. started rolling I know most of these roads as i ride all over this area I am on mostly back country farm lanes now. rolling hills and flats .a few dogs come running out at me and I snarl at them and they retreat back home the holstiens are all looking at me as i roll by I am singing and carrying on and seeing many parts of this trip roll past in my mind with each mile getting closer to home. When i make the turn and head south i catch a great tail wind like some hasd their hand on me and is pushing me along. the temp starts falling and i got to stop and put opn more cloths to stay copmfortable.
When igo through cederburg then into theinsville I stop for a late lunch at a family restraunte. I am holding the door for a guy with a walker and his wife is right behind him in another walker he is on the way out i am going in, he says thanks, and that he is going to get to heaven befor i do but will be waiting for me to thank me again when i get there, guess i made his day or something. The hostess and waitress come over and ask questions about where i came from and were surprised about all the miles i got a free bowl of clam chouder and a sandwich.
got going again now i am real close the last few miles to go all on familiar roads and through the park finially get into my neaborhood and some of the nabors are wondering where ive been some think i am nuts soem impressed me Iam just plain tired and glad to be back!!
