I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and ride a Greenspeed Recumbent Trike GTR. I am retiring either next year or the following year. I would like to ride my trike across Canada from east to west. I am looking for anyone that have done this or part of this on a trike who would be able to enlighten me on their experiences and the routes they traveled. Thank you.

Personally, I want to bike across Russia one day - Vladivostok to Moscow. My main concern is how heavy my load would have to be to ensure that I don't run out of replacement tires/tubes/chains - that's a long distance, without a whole lot of bike shops along the way.

I recall reading that on that ride across Iowa, they always go the same direction due to predominant winds- not sure which way it blows up there, though.
