I have a pair of Specialized MTB Shoes on layaway....;)

They seemed comfortable enough. I'll know more soon though.

I have two pairs of Specialized shoes, the first ones are about 9 years old and the never really fit right I think the are too narrow for me, the second pair I got last year, they fit great, seem their sizes got wider over the years as both pairs are size 47 "comp" level MTB shoes.

Choppe what is your US shoe size? I wear a 12D and purchased a size 47. I got such a deal I was willing to take the chance on a misfit and resale if necessary. Lp

I have a size 44 and I am not real happy with them they feel a little too narrow. I didn't have much of a selection though. I am sure they are fine just make sure they feel comfortable from the start. Mine were a little tight and I let them talk me into keeping them because they will stretch. They don't. Other than being a little snug on the sides, I like them.

I often have trouble finding shoes that fit. Specialized MTB Comp shoes (3 velcro straps) fit me perfectly. Like a glove. I use them for MTB and Road. Another guy I know rode his till they disintegrated, needless to say he really liked them.
For comparison, in a running shoe I picked a 2E width NB 1223.

I've got one pair of specialized shoes and they never fit very well and just seemed poorly made and cheap. I've been much more satisfied with the three pair of Sidi's I've purchased over the years and which have been outstanding.

I used to work for a Specialized dealer. Back then their bikes rocked and their shoes sucked. Not so anymore. Initially I was displeased with these shoes as they were very uncomfortable. It took a month or so to break them in but now they're perfect for the 30-50 mile rides that I do, work well with my speedplays and sort of match my Caisse D'epargne jersey. They're not the miracle the body geometry marketeers claim them to be, but these shoes compare favorably with the Sidi Genius Carbon. They're not as comfortable as the Sidi however, and some of that has to do with the fact that the Specialized shoes fit a little bit more like athletic shoes than cycling shoes. I also sincerely doubt that the Pro Carbon will last as long as the Sidi. But hey, they're $100 cheaper MSRP and they do the job well enough. If you want all-day comfort, fantastic performance and bomb-proof durability, the Sidi is worth the extra $100 (or drop the carbon sole and roll with the basic genius). If you need a solid road shoe at a solid price, the Specialized is no slouch. Oh, and you have to really really like white.

Conclusion: 7 / 10 A great deal if you can find them below $150.

I wear 12 - 12 1/2 depending on brand, I think width I run E or EE.
You should be right on with the 47s.

The Specialized BG Pro Carbon shoes arrived today. Fit is perfect and they seem like well made shoes. I've attached the cleats and I've been practicing getting in and out of the Ultegra 6620 pedals. Wish it was warm enough to ride ------ warm enough but I do not have any cool weather riding gear. Lp

If anyone has any wisdom related to clicking in and out please be forth coming. I'm attempting to not intentionally bust my arse. Have a good urn. Lp

It has to be better in North Carolina than the -17 it was this morning in Red Oak, IA. But, that is why I am on rollers in the basement.
