Um...yo you Dizzle back - let me break this to you gently. Other than repeated squats (which I plan to start doing in a few days), there isn't crap you can do for your legs that isn't going to put pressure on your back and shoulders. The recumbant is the way to go.

Wrong.

Walk up a steep hill or climb stairs.

Recumbent < is spelled that way.

My recumbant is spelled differently, and you stay out of this, Clint. Walking up stairs, by the way, is NOT good for someone who has bouts of dizziness.

Just wear your cracked helmet.
See? Always a solution.

Oh, I'm not the one who's dizzy. And I don't think my cracked helmet would fit John's head.

I had Wood Ranch AGAIN last night - tri tip does the body mmmm mmmm good. Wait, this is the whining thread.

My 4pm client didn't show up. I need to keep my productivity up, so I'm going to have to pay them a home visit later on tonight. That better not make me miss American Idol.

I just need a good thick piece of meat. The tip won't cut it.

Too much bone and not enough meat doesn't do it for me. I like something I can get my mouth around.

Okay, I'll admit defeat. High threshold bull****...I'm thinking I'm going to go fill the codeine prescription. My shoulder and head are killing me.

You haven't filled it, yet? Why not?

I got on the trainer again, this time not doing all out power intervals. Apparently, base building I can do just fine.

You sound like my cat...well except for the bf not home to cook part... :D

Teh bf's cat was with me and I swear he was saying the same thing. He got fed though, because I know where the cat food is. I have no idea where the human food is around here.

I started getting up at 4:30am to get an early workout in before work, and the cat decided that 4:30am was now feeding time no matter WHAT day of the week!!

I feel old. My body still hurts from the half marathon Sunday. I need a massage. I still have this stupid head cold - maybe a sinus infection. This rain is probably going to screw up my weekend ride plans - I don't mind riding in a little light rain, but not sure CRB will want to (perhaps we'll see just how determined she is to do the century at Solvang).

WWHHAAA!!!!:cry: I finally went to the doctor today after a week of fever and nausia and he told me that I have pneumonia. I already missed a week of riding and now he told me to stay off the bike for another week. This sucks!

Ok, another whine is becoming apparent...yes, here it goes...

Teh bf's cat can probably kick my ass in a fight. It's no use contemplating him on a plate--I'm the one who'd be eaten if it came to that. :o

Mary, would you like me to stick some needles between your toes to make the pain go away?

Yes, please.

I exercised. I rode the recumbant for 48 minutes and did 6 minutes of stair stepping. But then I felt odd, so I stopped. My shoulder is past hurting. Now it's just this dull searing heat.

So, yes, please.

Because I don't like the way pain pills make me feel. That, and I can't find the prescription. Not sure where I put it.

Our whining is too big and wild to be contained in one thread. It must be allowed to roam free.

Okay, so this morning after a night of not sleeping (again), I gave in and dug around in my bag to find my prescription (it was tucked in one of my SIDIs).

Let me just say that I now realize how I've been misspelling relief for years. It should be spelled C-O-D-E-I-N-E.:D

i LOVE THAT STUFF...i was on it for about 5 months straight when i shattered my elbow some time ago....when they took me off of it i went thru withdrawl....i mean the type of withdrawl where i was contemplating offering sexual favors to diseased circus monkeys type of withdrawl.

Then the sweet little prince came back after my shoulder surgery in Feb of last year....

Um, haven't we been telling you to fill it?

I'm glad it's helping, though.

I did almost an hour on the trainer today and as long as I'm not sprinting or moving around much my shoulder doesn't hurt too much during it.

Plus my body still aches like crazy, but I don't know if it's from the race Sunday or from being sick.

So, I just got my shipment of Takari foot patches today. I wonder if I can combine those with codeine? They are purported to draw the toxins out of your body through your feet (I just couldn't resist not trying them as I think that's hysterical), but now I'm concerned that I might draw all the codeine out of my body while I sleep...something I'm now not willing to do.

Any thoughts?

Oh, and Mark, I hope you feel better soon.

No, no...just the prescription was tucked there (the slip of paper). I must have thought that a good place to stick it when I was in the ER. I can't recall.

You're a man and you've never given birth or had cramps for that matter. You don't know what real pain is, so you couldn't prove anything even if you wanted to, but nice try.

I'm still in too much pain to put my arm forward, so it's the recumbant for me. :(
