How do you arrange Captain Solo and the Ewoks in your shorts before a ride? Yesterday, it was raining and I really had a tough time with Solo, and the Ewoks never got situated well. Of course, by the end of the ride, Solo was frozen in carbonite, but I never could figure out how he should sit prior to that...

I just stretch him out and tie him around my ankle...put the ewoks in one of my jersey pocket.

But then, not everyone is from the southwest!!

carl...

that is the funniest crap I've ever read.... anyways... most of the time, my boys just fall into place.. but yesterday's ride, I was constantly adjusting.. first Lefty was pinchin', and then Righty was giving me problems... sometimes you gotta keep Cap'n Solo pointing up, and not down... it's weird.. it really caries from ride to ride

Isn't that what that split in the seat is for?

Just let it dangle or if your 1oldroadie you can wrap it around the seat post after you let it dangle.

This has nothing to do with Star Wars!

Things just seem to work out. I don't question it, and I don't dwell on it.

Things just seem to work out The reason I asked is because things didn't yesterday :)

yep. had the same problem yesterday after the 20mile mark. I slightly offset the seat to the left and it worked out OK.

Apparently it has a mind of its own.

I think I start with it pointing up, and then it slouches into the position of least resistance. Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

Great! Now everyone on the forum can picture a bunch of male cyclists on the side of the road, hands down their shorts, adjusting. Maybe Stinkfist, who's having difficulty concealing his thoughts and desires on rides, ought to pay attention to this thread.

Seriously, if it's not too late, as someone mentioned, rotating the saddle a bit in the direction opposite the side you "dress" seems to help things fall into place, by giving them a place to fall, so to speak.

Or you could just do the whole ride standing up. Not you, Stinkfist. :D

She may not look like much, kid, but she's got it where it counts. I've made a lot of special modifications myself... :D

"You came in that thing?"

Um, maybe that was over the top ;)

The elastic waist band of my shorts holds my twig snuggly against my belly. The tip of the twig pokes out somewhat like a one eyed baby kangaroo. I have to cover the tip with my jersey, so as not to arouse the ladies. The berries, or twins, if you prefer, hang over each side of the seat. :D

What a crazy question.

Hmm... over the top?? Perhaps comfortable, but might get you arrested.

I like to point the compass to the west, and the bearings sit up a little higher than in my regular skivies. Sometimes if things aren't cooperating with the chamois exactly right it can be kinda uncomfortable... In that case I just fiddle with it till it's right. Kinda obscene looking as I do it... but it has to be done.

Be careful - if things work out too much you could get arrested!

my hubby-type-person just jiggles'em around a bit and announces:
"Sometimes I amaze even myself!"

and I reply "That doesn't sound too hard!"

It just dawned on me that Dale Gribble looks like Beavis. Completely off topic, I know. Sorry. Darn that Mike Judge!
