Mountain Biking - Mountain bike shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am going clipless, can anyone recommend a good mountain bike shoes for my new Time ATAC carbon pedals?
Thanks

Specialized makes a good shoe that isn't horribly expensive, Diadora Jalapeno is good, SIDI Dominators (great if you've got a wide foot).
I've got a pair of Northwave's that are incredibly comfortable, but very expensive.
There are just SOOOOO many. What's your budget?

Under 100, maybe around 50 to 60 would be a comfortable amount for me.
Thanks.

The Diadora Geko is a pretty nice shoe in your price range. Pricepoint and JensonUSA should both have these in stock.

i have always been happy with my specialized shoes for both road and mountain. maybe try finding 2003 shoes on discount if you want to save some cash?
I have definitely been please with my Specialized shoes. YOu can find the Mountain Sports for $69.

also look at Shimano M152's or M221 are very nice.
Northwave's are also Luvly. My Team MTB's last a good 4 yrs before dying.
I'm using a pair of Answer Speeders that I'm pretty happy with.

I've a pair of Gaerne shoes that seem well made (if a little narrow in the toe box for someone with flippers for feet like me).
Judging from my Lake spd sandals their quality of manufacture is very good as well - I'd certainly look at Lake stuff in the future.
I went and bought the Shimano M152 shoes through nashbar. They were on sale for 79.99. I hope I made the right decision. Too many choices :)
Thank you all for helping me out.

I dunno what size whoe you need but these are the shoes I was talking about. They work really well with the ATAC system and they are a REALLY good deal.

A second vote for the answer Speeder. Like the faux carbon fiber look on the toe and heel
