I am planning on getting either a trainer or rollers for my winter training this year. My purchase depends on what is quieter and what will hold up better on a carpeted floor. Thanks for the input.

After trying many trainers and roller sets I found and have been using for 2.5 years a Cyclops fluid 2+. It's quiet enough to have the volumn of the tv set very low and still hear the voices. Ride a smooth tire and they are as quiet as it gets. 2nd would be a quality set of rollers. I feel I get a better more road like work out on the Cyclops.
