I'm looking for a 24" tyre which will give more puncture protection than my present Panaracers.

I've found these Schwalbe's 24" 25-540 which are sold as wheelchair tyres and these appear ideal. Does anyone have experience of these tyres? Are they suitable for use on a bike or will they be too fast wearing?
I do know they are very expensive.

I don't know what the erto size is for the Chameleon, but I easily found these tires on the manufacturers homepages

Chameleons come standard with 520mm wheels.. Panaracers do have a kevlar belted model (I'm running those with good luck so far).. I would doubt the 540mm wheelchair tire would fit the rim properly. More options can be found Here. (http://www.airnimalfoldingbikes.com/A_Tyres.php)

May I suggest tyre liners? I have started using them since I found that built-in kevlar liners don't work all that well. They're better than nothing, but not much better. But they costa more, wear out and add weight (the latter which liners do also, but they don't wear out and you aren't limiting your choices and weigh very little).

many thanks for your suggestions. At present I'm running Panaracer Paselas with the kevlar belt but reports so far seem to show that they are vulnerable to punctures. I may have a look at the Stelvios as I have a high opinion of Schwalbe.
I've just bought this bike and it's my first folder so I'm intent on getting it right for the summer tour.
