glucose is a carb....carbohydrates by their nature are sugars and starches.
Glucose is a carbohydrate ... you knew that, right? I would imagine it would be rather difficult to acquire a low carb glucose powder.
However, if you'd rather not follow the Atkins diet to the letter (I didn't realize people were still on the Atkins diet), you might go with maltodextrin rather than glucose. Maltodextrin is a complex carb which is a little bit better for you ... it will provide you with longer-lasting energy.
Incidentally, if you didn't know that glucose was a carbohydrate, before you go on the Atkins diet, I'd strongly suggest that you take a nutrition class, and/or read several good books on nutrition (no fad diet books!). Have a good understanding of nutrition, and the components of nutrition, may help you reach your weight loss goal more effectively than blindly going on some diet.

^ This low sodium salt makes me laugh :D It is in fact 'low salt' salt :D
It is exactly the same as normal table salt - i.e. it is 100% NaCl. It does not contain 33% less sodium by mass - 10g of salt sense contains exactly the same amount of sodium as 10g of normal salt. But salt sense crystals are bigger and they are irregularly-shaped, meaning that there are more air spaces inbetween each crystal, so the salt occupies 33% more space than normal salt. In other words, a given volume of salt sense would contain 33% less salt than normal salt. This allows them to get away with telling people it contains
33% less sodium
(per teaspoon)
Which, of course, is utterly f&cking pointless! For obvious reasons.
What they don't tell you is that it contains 33% less chloride per teaspoon too :D
I can't believe there are people out there who actually believe that salt sense is lower in sodium than 'normal salt' and that salt sense is healthier :D

Next to the instant water (just add water) :D.
That's like the time I bought the ice cream sandwiches that had "half the fat, half the calories!".
I get the box home and open it up... the sandwiches were exactly half normal size.
So I ate two.

Atkins is a crappy diet. Yes, people can lose weight on it, but there are a lot of healthier ways of eating and losing weight. South beach, paleo, or any other diet that emphasizes unprocessed foods is a good start.
Atkins is particularly bad for endurance athletes, as being low on glycogen severely limits the amount of power you can put out.
Food for fitness is a decent book that covers this.

No, one who would not suspect that someone asking for the oxymoronic 'low-carb glucose powder' was joking. :)

Cool! Been looking for some dehydrated water for when I go hiking in the desert!

Based on the other questions we get in this forum, you might have been joking ... or you might have been very serious. Scary, isn't it.

At least you get a 33 % larger container to hold the extra air !!
