Now that the price is almost $700 before shipping, is the Vigorelli still a good deal? I've been thinking of getting it for a while thinking it's still 250GB, but now that the price jumped by $200 I'm not so sure. Any advice oh all-knowing BFSSFG crew?

That's cheaper than most name brand builders here would do it for--
for a custom or semi-custom.

You can get a used track frame from Japan or Korea for less--
but there is the whole, "light top tub dents, some scratches,
rust spots" etc thing. In the end, the question is what is it worth
to you in terms of performance and ride quality, name brand, aesthetic appeal.

But after shipping and taxes (are there taxes?) it's coming out to close to $900 total. That really is reaching towards custom prices.

Not worth it, unless you just want to be riding a Bob Jackson Vigorelli around, in which case it may be worth it.

Well, is there a comparable frame available for less? The Vigorelli has been a great deal for so long that now I'm kind of lost heh. Maybe I should just pony up, Bob Jacksons are beautiful bikes.

yeah. the price used to be cheaper. i noticed they took the "full custom frames" off the website so maybe they do all of them custom now...

you get nice paint, quality contruction and lots of options if you know what to ask for.
didn't the custom pista used to be 300 or 350 pounds sterling?

i didn't have to pay any customs on mine.

the exchange rate is what, 1.95 now...a few months ago it was 2.11....
