Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - About to make a trade, don't know which one to go for

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am thinking about trading an extra set of wheels with weinman dp17 rims for either of these
1. specialized carbon stem and fsa road carbon pro team issue crank
or
2. vigorelli track crank with isis bb
Whats the better deal? Is there really any difference between a track crank and a road crank with just one chain ring?

The vigorelli crank is ugly and is purported to cause impotence. The ISIS drive BB will wear and develop play and the crank will eventually crack and fall off while you are riding in traffic.
Seriously though, speaking from a pretty uninformed viewpoint, I'd go with the first choice...just 'cause
That's odd I thought the were called "Track" Cranks because they were meant for the "Track" and not on the road where there's traffic, just like how brakes are not allowed on the track.:crash:
