I'm guessing they're knock offs. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a "genuine" A-bike and a knock off? I'm going to go have a look.

Looks good for the price. I read up on the forums you linked and the guy who bought a fake one replaced some screws and is good to go. Let us know how it turns out.

Lower price, lower quality of material, shorter life span?
What I am critical of is that A-bike don't provide bigger wheels
and more sturdy version for us who are tall and heavy.
But to have more than one model is more costly I guess.

I called the guy, this batch of bikes he ordered with shortened handlebars (from 39" to 33") so taht children could ride them. Brilliant idea on his part. For $50 those would make great kids toys.

SPROCK: Have you seen it in person. I'm pretty sure they are fake.
I was actuallyt thinking about taking a look this weekend, and test riding... I'm short anyway, so it doesn't matter about the shortened H/B .
If you actually seen it can you drop me a PM or leave a post here to let us know what they are like... if I do take a look this weekend, will give an update.

I didn't bother looking, the guy was honest about telling me that they were knock offs and since I'm 6'3" I'd ahve a hard time with shortened handlebars.
