I have a new miche wheelset and the lockring that comes with the hubs is garbage. It is very thin so my lockring tool keeps slipping of the ring and tearing it up. Are there any beefier lockrings that will thread on my hubs.

pretty sure they run the same threading as other common hubs like formula and dura-ace, i would recommend the dura-ace lockring
nope, Miche Primato hubs use the 'Italian' threaded (Campy/Phil Wood/Miche) lockrings.
Obviously, Phil will be 'the best' but it'll def be also the most expensive one.
Also, I must add that I have the Miche lockring on my Primato hub and I don't feel that it is really inferior in any way to any other lockring. Ok, I admit I've never seen the Phil one in nature...

My lockring seems kinda thin and my durace lockring wrench slips out of the notches really easily. The durace lockring on my other wheelset never had trouble with the wrench slipping out. I think Ill check to see if there are any campy/phil wood Lockrings at my LBS. Thanks everyone.

you should use a hozan wrench...it has two lockwring wrenches on each end. Sometimes one side will work better for different lock rings.
I have had no problems with my miche lockring either.
the hozan wrench also works on my miche and paul and dura-ace lockrings equally, but you do have to flip the side for the miche from the dura-ace...I think the angle of engagement on the notch is different.

I just picked up a phill wood lockring earlier. These things are made extremely stong!

I picked up a Campy lockring from Business Cycles for my Miche hub. Just call em, give him your cc info, and you'll see it in a week. No problems!

The lockring that came with my Miche Primato hubs was beefy as hell. Almost twice as thick as what I bought to go with the formula hubs on my old wheel set.
