Right off of Gillegan's Island.

I want to see him ride it, though.

I hope it's flat where he rides it... I don't think it has a brake.

I'm wondering how much it weighs.

He does mention in his article that he has the rachet system so that he can go downhill without pedalling, so apparently it's not completely flat.

Wilmaaaaaa!
That, is slicker than owl-dung. Maybe he could melt beeswax onto the chain rollers for longer life?
Smart kid!

That's pretty cool! I don't think it would actually work for any significant amount of time, but I sure have to applaud his ingenuity and sticktoitness.

I once saw an old bicycle (c. 1903) that had shaft drive, and the gear on the end of the shaft was made of wood.

Great job with the aesthetics and artistry; however, I hope you will only use it for non-functional purposes! :D

I suppose you would use furniture polish to shine it.Watch out for slivers. That said it is an incredible project and you deserve Kudos, well done!

Work of art....very nice. I think Id have stained it though. The amount of time in the chain had to be something. Hats off to you on this one....well done !!!!
