Bib shorts in general are excellent. Rare is the person who tries them and regrets it.
Specialized bibs are generally well regarded but considered pricey for what they are.

The only guys I ride with that wear these work at the Specialized dealership.
For bibs, I'm riding the high-end Voler bibs which are very nice so far. If you buy them at hammer nutrition, you can get them for $50 which is a ridiculous deal for what you get. This year's short is a lot more tasteful than last year's, but you still have to put up with a ridiculous graphic.

Thanks for the tip v1k1ng001. They only have the bib is XL. Will that be large enough (6'3", 230 lbs)?

Check sizing with Voler @ velowear.com (http://velowear.com/help.aspx#CatCode24). I have a Voler jersey and the sizing is by no means generous. Great folks to do business with, however.

Doesn't look like XL is going to cut it. Thanks CastIron.

I'm almost exactly your size: 6'3" 225. I have a 35-36 inch waist and I recommend the larges. The XL's are too big actually. Had to send them back.

I have em (well, last year's with the white side panels). Love em. And their products are actually pretty good. If you order the bibs from Hammer, you'll get a buncha samples. Try them, they good.

Yeah, me too. That white panel is hideous.
