Hey guys, I'm on the verge of buying a 2004 Specialized Rockhopper. I was wondering if anyone owns one or has ridden one, and if so, please give me your opinion of it.

Thanks!!

cjperera.

I know, but I like the Rockhopper, and the 2004 is cheaper than the 2003, and comes with similar or better components (fork etc)

That's weird that it's cheaper and it just came out!

Not sure, I weighed in a '04 rockhopper Comp at the store and it was about 29lbs. I could be wrong... so I'm guessing that the standard Rockhopper is around 30lbs.

anyway, too late...

I now have a 2004 Rockhopper sitting in my living room... can't wait to get outside tomorrow!!

Unwritten rule around here! New bike purchases require photos to be included!

Just had my first XC ride on the rockhopper today.... still getting used to it.... I used to ride an old schwinn 9six hardtail... Was a smaller frame, and really light, so the rockhopper doesn't feel as nimble.. I'll try and get pics soon

I bought a Blue 04 Rockhopper 1 month ago, v nice bike. Its not the lightest but its one tough frame that will last for years. Only prob is no lockout on front fork(bit of a pain climbing off the seat)but at a discounted £475 it was a bargain. I would recommend the bike to anyone wishing to abuse the bike on heavy trails as i think it can stand the hammer.

Good choice of bike m8, hope your happy with it.

What is the difference in a rockhopper and a rockhopper comp ... I justy gave 450 for a 2004 rockhopper comp , is that too much?
