Hello everybody,

I just wanted to say thank you for all your notes after my accident. My friend printed them and brought them into me at hospital.

I am now home but ended up with bad neck and back injuries as well as some internal injuries and a couple broken bones. I took a pretty hard fall I guess and my insides felt like they had been put through a blender and pounded with a huge bag of rocks for hours.

Anyway, I won't be able to cycle for the rest of the season. I have a bunch of pins and a plate in my arm. My back is totally screwed and I have to go to physio three times a week for my back, neck and knee injuries. My bike is damaged but I have not even seen it yet. My friends have sorta hidden it because they don't want it to discourage me in my recovery. Jessica told me that she wrote a couple of notes to you guys. Did she tell you what kind of damage the bike had ?? Pleeeeese tell me.

I will send you more details later. Thanks again for your caring guys. I really appreciated it.

Justen

Cool- Glad you checked in. I was actually thinking about you yesterday, and I was going to drop you a PM to see if you were recovering.

Sorry to hear you won't be cycling, but I'm glad to see you're healing.

Keep us updated with your progress.

Take care,

Koffee

Glad your home and I hope the recovery goes well for you. Physical Therapy (PT) will be tuff at first but hang in there it does help and you will appreciate it in the end.

This season is almost over anyway. Work hard so you'll be up and riding next season.

Good Luck.

She didn't really tell us anything on how bad the bike is damaged. That is not first priority. Getting yourself healed up is first priority.

Get well soon.

I hope you have a quicker recovery, like the others said most important thing is to heal and get better then you can worry about the bike.

One good way you can look at this time off the bike, you can take a look at it see what is broken and upgrade! Not sure of your mechanical skills but, no whater shape they are in this would be good oportunity to do a few upgrades fine tune the bike get it all ready for when you can ride again. Atleast would give you something to do while you are recoving.

Best of luck Justen. Injuries always suck just don't let the injury beat you. Unfortunately, injuries are just a part of the game :)...
