Mountain Biking - Congrats to highrevs!!

I hope I'm not stealing gastro's thunder in saying this but I couldn't keep it to myself until tomorrow (ah, the advantages of living on Pacific Time):

The March issue of Mountain Bike Action just came out and highrevs has a photo published in it! The month's Inside the Pro's Bikes feature on pgs. 126-127 features Dual Slalom National Champion and NC denizen Chris Herndon and his Specialized SX - - and you-know-who captured the moment.

Yeah thats the reason i missed the ride that weekend. I was going to try and make it down after the shoot, but the weather delayed us a little bit and i ended up staying in Banner Elk/Boone the whole weekend.

Yeah Chris is a great guy. I talked to him the other day and it looks like he's got a great new deal worked out with Decline/Specialized for NORBA and world cups this year. It's a killer lineup on the team. I'll try to talk to him this weekend and give you the scoop on it. I think they're just tying up the last few loose ends.

Super cool, I knew Decline had put an offer out there. I'm looking forward t getting an update. ;)

Well, I got my hands on a copy of the issue of MBA… dude I’m so pumped. It was a pretty awesome feeling to open an internationally distributed magazine and see an image of mine spread across the majority of two pages. I have had a few things printed in local publications, but this created a completely different level of stokedness. Reading the associated text was pretty cool too. The little story that detailed Chris's win in the finals and the quotes pretty much summed up his down to earth vibe.

Ink on paper trumps electrons any day :D

It is me. I have been helping the Toots deliver mail the past few months in the Russian wilderness. Man my calves are toast.

MBA is expensive over here in upside down land. But i'll save my pennies and buy a copy!

I just got an email from Herndon. He's really happy with the pic too. Here's what he had to say about it......

"Hey thanks for the link. I was really pumped on it finally coming out. Robert takes some sick pictures and is a really chill guy. I really want to shoot some action stuff with him. He is one of the few that can really capture what is actually going on. I know this pic is just a still but he is unreal with is lighting and attention to detail. I know we will work together again.
