Introductions - Hi from Copenhagen / Mallorca

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi. My name is Torben I am from Copenhagen - Denmark - but spend quit a lot of my time at Mallorca - Soller. Both places are smooth for bike riding, in winter off course Denmark is most suited for MTB's (running a Tinanium frame mostly with parts from everywhere...). For the streets I just bought an Argon-18 Gallium and I cant wait for the spring to arrive.
If anbody goes to either Denmark or Mallorca let me know I will be happy to assist with some local advice on the best rides in the area. Also I run a small restaurant in Soller in Mallorca - Luna 36. There is a free drink for all bikers dropping by.

torben,
welcome to bf!
one of my long-term-goals is to tour (or at least ride) in denmark, sweden, holland......, hope and wish that usa will adapt some/all of the philosophies held there about bicycle inclusion there. your "free drink" now is an added incentive :-) !
i look forward to reading your input.
welcome x2!!

Hi Torben, Soller sounds like quite a lovely place to visit, and I think that the promise of a free drink is enough to lure many of us in :D .
What kind of food do you serve at Luna 36?
Welcome to BF!

Hi East Hill, biking in Soller area is great almost all year (spend two days there in december 22 degree C sunshine). There are a number of famous climbs (Col de Soller), Puig and Sa Calobra close by. MTB is fine if you like steep slobes and rocky conditions.
Basically we prepare handmade food with international flavor, but of course we have been inspired by the local top dishes (fish from the local port and lots of olives and orange)..garlic is of course an often used ingridience.
