I found the Airstryke 2000 and the Airstryke 2003. Are the two identical? what is the difference?

I don't know for sure, but usually when Profile changes the number they also make some modification to the basic design. Like stronger springs in the arm rests, or different pads. There is usually something. The bars, themselves, are probably the same.

www.profile-design.com might get you some answers.

Updates to this all time favorite create a new level in riding enjoyment. Forged MULTI-FIT System™ 6061-T6 aluminum brackets incorporate improved springs and pivots for our ZB™ arm brackets that flip up as needed for that “up top” riding position that is critical during climbing. Our newly designed
rotational F-19™ armrest system also allows for 60mm of length and 20mm of pad width adjustment.

Keep an eye on the pins that hold the flip up arm rest on.My set has a tendency of working there way out.
Other wise a good bar to start with.
