Hello everyone,

I currently live in Carlsbad NM working as a field technician in the Permian basin oil fields. We do remote communications on oil and gas wells.

It has been too long since I have been in the saddle. At least a year on the MTB and a decade on the road. I have been able to contact a couple of friends through our high school reunion committee and we decided that some of us would ride in the Albuquerque Century June 7th. This motivated me to get back in the saddle again. I needed a lot of motivation. So I started working out, eating right and training properly again.

I just got back from a short ride and the weather was beautiful. 70°F. I rode in shorts and short sleeve jersey.

My current ride is a GT Zaskar with XTR from head to HUB. I have a Klein Quantum on the way, that I am getting from a buddy of mine from Colorado Springs, which will be my primary ride for the Century. NO idea what grouppo or wheels I'll put on it. I have time.

Hi Patrick, nothing like a goal to get one motivated! Especially if you get to ride on a Klein Quantum :) .

Best of luck with the Century, and Welcome to BF!
