i just may have the chance of buying a used eddie merckx corsa extra frame. it is all black, except for the driveside chainstay, which is crome. it has a columbus slx sticker on it, and eddie merckx engraved on the seat and downtubes. i will post photos if i can get back to it this week.
any idea what year this might be? cant remember any other details at the moment, except the serial number started with F, followed by 4 digits.
any idea what this is worth?
thanks

corsa extras are valuable...but without pictures we canna tell you what it would be worth. Does it have the original decals? is it a respray? does it have the original fork? does it come with parts? all of these things will tell you a little about the bike's history and maybe help to identify the vintage.

Scroll down to the pic of Dan in Clockwork Orange getup.

Mr. White and Dan from Shifterbikes have one in the workshop at the mo', they may have some info.

ok, the brilliant people at Eddy Merckx just emailed me back, its a 1996 slx corsa extra. it has all the original decals including the columbus tubing one and the original paint with just a few chips in it. it does not have the original fork, though.
sale price is 180 dollars, seems like a good deal to me, is it?

jump on it...... I missed a vintage eddie for 100.00. I hate it when work gets in the way of the important things ;)
