Does anyone know how technical the short track course is at Sea Otter? I am curious if it could be done on a cx bike? Are there any steep, rocky drops or a long rock garden section?

It has been pretty close the to the same the last few years. It is not technical. there is a bit of pavement. a couple of short climbs, lots of grass. if it is muddy it really sucks. I am sure you could ride it on a cross bike but I don't know if it would be benificial, for the most part stxc are at slower speeds than cx races and with courses that are that short there just isn't enough sustained pedaling to warrant cx bikes if it did then all the guys would be on cross bikes or at least 700c wheels with cross tires and you only see those wheels by a couple of guys at few races each year.
This is the 2006 race, if it rains, which is a very high possibility, it will be the same
