I will be in SFO for two day this week. Looking for a few bike shops I should see while I’m there. Thanks.

I've never seen a bike shop in the airport. :)

You can look up Mike's Bikes, Chain Reaction, Valencia Cyclery, Freewheel bike shop, etc.

Although I've only been to Mikes and Chain Reaction... They have a pretty good seletcion of stuff.

Oh, and Performance Bikes (a la performancebikes.com) in SF.

And Summit Bike shop is near the airport on California Drive in Burlingame. And if you head more South on Calif Drive you'll run into Stacks Restaurant for some really good pancakes, french toast and good food in general. :)

I'm sure more people will post up their favorite shops.

Here are a few interesting shops located in SF:

City Cycle (http://www.citycycle.com/bikes_bikelines.htm) (if you're an upscale roadie)
Carries Sevens, Serottas, Colnagos

American Cyclery (http://www.americancyclery.com/) (if you like steel)
Carries Waterford, Soma, Gunnar, and local builders like Sycip and Mikkelsen

Box Dog Bikes (http://www.boxdogbikes.com/) (if you're more inclined to wear a hand-made messenger's cap than a helmet)
Carries IRO, Kona, Breezer

Citizen Chain (http://www.citizenchain.com) (if you're into vintage and want to buy a NOS Centurion)
Carries NOS Centurions, Raleighs, vintage Campy parts, etc.

Mojo Bicycle Cafe (http://www.mojobicyclecafe.com/) (if you're hungry)
Carries Konas, Felts, Swobo, Rock Lobster, and bagels...

Pacific Bikes on 4th St. has a nice selection of mid- and high-end road and tri stuff, and a good staff.

Pacific Bike has some mountain and comfort as well... ditto on the staff.

From there, SF Performance is a short walk; IMO it is the best Perf shop in the area. REI is not much further down Brannan.

There are some highfalutin' shops around, but I don't remember any names right now... it's magic! I'm invisible!
