I have a Dura Ace crank in basically new condition...it has 175mm crank lengths....i have developed knee problems since i went to the 175's.


Does anyone want to swap 172.5's for 175's?

i'll keep my BB but would like to swap out the crank arms.

I have a DA crank at home that I wanted to sell, not sure of the arm length, they might be 172.5's. Let me check when I get home tonight to see the size, they had about 3K miles on it. I'd be glad to swap them and sell yours instead.

I assume you guys are talking about the recent ones with external BB cups, right?

Mine are in brand new...no scuff condition..the teeth still look brank new also.

I've got a terribly scuffed-up R700 (Ultegra-level) compact crank with some cheap FSA rings. You give me your crank, and an extra $50, and I'd consider a trade.


You can't put a price on your knees....well, I guess you can...and that price is a new DA crank and $50.

I have checked around, that is quite a bargain for the knees.

how much did you want for it? I'm still toying with it's settings. I just tranfered it on my new bike, Ranchos 55miler outing didn't work well for me even with the new kit. The new bike has a lil bit different geo so maybe it will work. That saddle has a 50 mile limit for me:( For short rides its great:D

Just got to the computer, I've been in the urgent care with my daughter all evening. Anyway I just looked at it and it is a 172.5 DA crank, new style. So if you're interested, let me know, you can keep your "teeth" and just swap everything else. It isn't new like your is, it came on my bike when I bought it new and I replaced it about two years ago, but they are 172.5's if you still want it.

I am NOT putting any pressure on you, and I don't miss the saddle at all. Try it for as long as you like. The only request I have is to not race on it...cuz...y'know...crashing kills the resale value.

They go for about $75-$80 on ebay, but now that you, Crash, and I have all 'given her the business', 'stretched her out like a taffy pull', and pretty much 'made her useless for any other man'...I'm sure I can cut you a better deal.

50 miles is about 30 more than I could ever do on that plank, so good on ya.

not a prob, no races on it. Last night I measured the width compaired to the San Marco Ponza that came on the bianchi, the SM is 124mm wide, almost an 3/4 inch smaller then the toupe. Maybe I have small assbones and like norrower saddles. Prolly why you didn't like the saddle I had on my green bike.
