Well this is my first time posting so be nice.
But heres my situation. My car is costing me tons of money, from the repairs to the gas and the insurance its costing me a ton of money to keep besty going. So I've looking into other means of transportation and went with a bike.
Now when I was younger about 16 I rode my bike everywhere from school to work to the trails everywhere. But at the age of 17 I tore everything in my left knee acl, pcl, lcl, and mcl and a nerve making me use my car to get around rather than my bike. But now that a few years have pasted I'm ready to get back on the saddle. I've been looking around and I want a bike that can handle some trails nothing to crazy and be my bike that takes me to school and work and I've been looking at one company in particular Specialized and I would love to get a hardrock.
I tried it out and it fits and feel great but my question is what one?(pro disc, comp disc also note that i do not know much about bike parts) What one would be best for my money, I really don't want to spend 800, way to high. More like 300-500. There are the 08 models on there website that are much cheaper than the 07 models(Pro Disc). Now that gets me confused because I don't know alot about bike parts. The LBS that I went too didnt have any 08 models. So I couldn't try them out(don't know if the 08's are even out yet.)
