Utility Cycling - Hi Folks!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I usually post in the Fat Boys section but after reading a few posts here I'd thought I'd chime in. I don't have anything special, just a Specialized Crossroads 2006 comfort type bike. I hung a couple of folding baskets on the rear carrier. Matter of fact, I wasn't real happy with the way they mounted so i just used a lot of zip ties. Anyhow, just reading for now and riding on the trainer.

Yep, they're pretty slick! The baskets themselves came with a few 'attachment points' but they really didn't fit. Zip ties hold everything in place securely. :)

Welcome.
Remember, utility cycling is not a competition to see who has the nicest bike or who can haul the most, it's all about the personal satisfaction of running errands without the limitations of a steel cage around you. We want some pictures of your bike/setup!
