Looks like it may clean up nicely, but I've got nothing else to offer. Is there a tubing decal, besides just Columbus?
The tubing is Cromor.
The closest bike I found is a 1993 Lemond Cromor/Veloce on Bike-alog

Do the pictures look like a 1993 Campy Veloce groupo?

My TenSpeed Imports number is 01726. With that Decal yours is at least a 1990. My bike is a 1988 GL. I have a reference to the 1986 TdF. I have the Coors Light scheme. The Tubing is Columbus SLX. It is a great riding bike.

You probably nailed the year pretty closely. The "Ventoux" label is a clue that it was after 1990. The BB lugs are slightly different than mine. My TenSpeed Import label is 01726 which is much earlier than the S/N of this bike which is 05XXX. For the Group you can go to www.campyonly.com and post a query. They have a time line on campy parts. I know the 1990 Highend groups had the Double pole brakes.

If you're looking for the year, the fork steerer tube on my bike had the complete date that the bike was (apparently) built on. I think mine was April of 1989. So just pop the fork out for a second and see for yourself.
G'day.
Billato-built frames which were painted bt TSDI don't seem to follow the serial numbers sequentially. I have read about later serial'd bikes with earlier TdF decals and vice versa. I guess they decalled any frame as it came from the spray booth, regardless of serial numbers..
Secondly, do you think this may be a Ventoux?

I also need clarification on the brake calipers. Although hard to see in those shots, they look like c-record, but have the cobalto 'jewel' on the bolt head (the front one does, the rear one is missing. I can still see the glue)
Cheers

I've owned this Maillot Jaune since I bought it used in the mid 90s.
Sweet bike.
Columbus TSX.
Ultegra and Dura Ace.
.
Looks like the same colors. Does yours have a Ten Speed Drive number?

Yep. Similar color scheme. Different tubing, aparently. Columbus TSX. And the Maillot Jaune has the cable snaking into the top tube.
.
The TedSpeed Drive label has 05788 on it. What would that tell me?

Billato built custom steel frames for tons of Euro pros way back in the old days. The pros had the custom made and repainted to match their bike sponsor's logo. Great lugwork on that Lemond.
Mine is number 05639. Must be a little older than yours. I guess we need to pull the forks and see if there is date on the steer tube.
