"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Races in the Florida area

im heading down to florida in early march for spring break, and will have to miss a couple of the training races back home. i was hoping to find a race on the two weekends during the break so that the week wouldnt be a complete loss.

i'll be in the panama city area during the second week of march.

if anyone knows about any races or even good group rides in the area i would greatly appreciate any information or links.

It's not on the schedule yet, but the Squiggy Classic in Tampa should be the 2nd weekend in March. TT, CR and RR.

Spin City (used to be an NRC race) is a big one in Orlando on Mar 15-16. Big downtown crit followed by a wicked crosswind CR. I have announced at this one for the last 4 years, so come say hi.

Check the Georgia Cup site as well and Alabama, because you are actually just as close to that stuff. Us Peninsula people have always considered the Panhandle part of the deep south anyway, not really the FL most of the transplant Yankees think of.

EVERYTHING IN FLA. IS ALONG DRIVE.

this weekend, will be driving 8 hrs (2x4) just to do a sanctioned 20k TT. thankfully, i'm not driving... so i can sleep for most of it.

The Squiggy races are fun, I did all three last year.

It will be. It never made it onto our tentative schedule back in Nov, but the promoter will have it up soon.
