Does anyone know anything about Iver Johnson? Someone posted a white IJ frame on craigslist (can't seem to find the post) and I'm wondering if it could be any good. The seller said it says "T-3" on the frame. Could be from the 70's or 80's, but I'm guessing it's an early model by the look of the fork crown (not a simple lug, it was chromed I believe).

Sorry to be so vague but I'm hoping someone can give me some clue as to the general quality of Iver Johnson.

I'm reading the Wikipedia page for Iver Johnson. They ceased manufacturing bicycles in 1940! The geometry of the frame looked nothing like a frame that old.

Well, I just gave away an Iverson last week. Someone bought another frame from me and I was tired of looking at the White Iverson frame. It is a heavy, poorly made frame. Could be a nice SS/FG for low grade parts. I bought it for $5 at Goodwill and will use some of the brake parts.

I never found anything on Iverson bikes. There was an Iverson or Iver Johnson shotgun, I think, from Montgomery Ward. The bike may have been a dept store brand.

Don't feel like you've missed anything, in my opinion.

interesting Iver Johnson bicycles are collectible, depending on the year and make. there is actually an Iver Johnson in the Smithsonian Institute. They started as Iver Johnson Arms and Cycleworks, i think in the late 1800's and then built the last bike in 1940. Major Taylor raced for the IJ team, I have two Johnsons and are fun to ride. I believe i have the last bike, as pictured in the Evolution of the Bicycle Vol. II. Im looking for parts if anyone has any

Iverson Dragstripper. I wouldn't turn down a good condition one if it was cheap. OK, back to Iver Johnson, hehe.,,,,BD
