Classic & Vintage - 1987 Bianchi Limited
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am looking to pick up a 87 Bianchi Limited, anybody have any info on this bike. Where can I find any catalog downloads for the bike. Pic enclosed. Where these decent bikes.

I would grab that bike in a second as I have a huge soft spot for celeste bianchis. Any specs you can share with us?
haven't received it yet, still in the deal making, only have the pic to go by

hum, in the process of deal making see if you can get the seller to give you a component list. It would really help in the decision/bargaining.

Found this for you. It looks pretty original...http://velospace.org/node/4782
Edit: Maybe not, Fir/Campy/Miche/3t... Suntour Sprint? doesnt make much sense. But if it is original its an awesome group and I would still snap it an a heartbeat. Sprint is really nice stuff.
Ha, that bicycle looks incredibly familair. BF memebr jrn bought one that somebody was trying to convert to brifters. You read this thread, http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=371530&highlight=limited+bianchi+1987 , you'll find out about the components, tubing, original price, etc.
thanks, will read the the post
Thanks for the tip, really will not be able to tell much about the bike until I actually see it. I do remember him saying it had Suntour components on it. Of course I will take tons of pics for all to enjoy.
Interesting, because specs for the 1987 Limited list Shimano new 600EX as OEM.
more pics as promised, i still can't make out the component group,

That bike is also Suntour Sprint 9000 equiped. The position of the limit screws on the RD indicates Suntour, and the logo on the FD (the part that looks to be a slightly different color) indicates Sprint 9000.
thanks, good to know, hopefully will be picking it up this weekend, it sure looks purty
