Any problems with mounting a cyclocomputer on bladed spokes? I'd like to buy a set of ksyrium elite wheels, and I'm just wondering now, as I'm about to order the cyclocomputer (V100HR wireless) whether having bladed spokes would affect the little magnet that you mount. As you can probably tell, I've never bought or installed one. Will I run into any problems here?

mavic sells special magnets specificaly made for their bladed spokes. many regular spoke magnets will not fit properly on bladed spokes.

Oh, so it was a valid question after all! ;) I'm assuming then that a magnet is a magnet, in terms of their functionality with cyclocomputers? i.e. just buy the thing from mavic and it would work with all computers right?
As deliriou5 mentions, Mavic does sell a bladed-spoke compatible magnet... several actually. However, that said, the V100 looks like it uses a single-spoke magnet (according to the pictures in their manual anyways) which is a good thing for you since Ksyriums are straight laced and low-spoke count wheels. The magnet looks remarkably similar to the one I have for my Shimano FlightDeck and I use it on my Ksyriums. If you mount the magnet on the upper portion of the spoke where it's non-bladed, you should not have a problem. This is what I do and it works fine. The Vetta install manual looks like it recommends placing the magnet and sensor fairly high up anyways.

Ok sounds good, I'll just buy the computer and if I can mount the one that comes with excellent, if not I'll just pick up the magnets from mavic. Thanks for the help :) (I love these forums)

The magnet that came with my Cateye Aestrale fits fine on my ksyrium elite's.
I had to buy a bladed-spoke magnet for my Rolf Vectors. The LBS didn't have them but I found it online at a triathlon site. Can't remember which one now.
