Classic & Vintage - My Look KG96

I just picked up a Look KG96 in the team colors from craigslist. It looks like a great bike and I have a few campagnolo bits to build it with, HOWEVER, I don't know anything about this bike.

If anyone here can give me some good information on the frame itself, history, what it usually came built with etc that would be really appreciated.

So far, I know it has the notches for downtube shifters on it.

I'm pretty excited to build this up as a comfy longer distance bike.

anyone know anything about it?

I do know that its carbon lugs and carbon tubes with (I'm pretty sure) an aluminum BB shell.

edit. The lugs on the KG 96 may be aluminum also.

I had one it's a little flexy for my tastes - I weigh in 220 . Which team colors - mine was green . I went back to steel afterward - it is a etty early bike if I remember right the tubes are not very oversized.mw

it's going to be a touring rig for me, so stiff is not good. I have a specialized tarmac that seems to be stiff enough for my skinny legs!

I'm probably going to be building this for comfort and stability as well as versatility.
I'll probably be riding this one to class and locking it up at the police station. :)

I kinda need some good ideas on how to build though.
I currently have a record 10spd crank. Maybe a "trendy" singlespeed build would be economical and reliable enough to get me around. (no brakeless fixy stuff here. that's just silly for this bike and for commuting)

I'd say build it up Single speed or using downtube shifters. No point scuffing up brifters for commuting.

I have a KG96 as well, but I went the opposite route and I am still racing it. I got it second-hand (or well beyond second) and it was built up with an all new Ultegra 9sp group. How is your seatpost fixed on the bike? This is something that has always confused me about these frames...they all fix the seatpost differently.
