I just got an email from a friend saying, "Congrats on having an article in Adventure Cycling!" - but I didn't know I had one there!! I did send a few things in, but never heard back so assumed they didn't want them. Anyway - if you get the magazine, would you please tell me which article I have in there??

The January 2008 issue has an article about you and your family on page 9, Waypoints section. It's about your trip starting in 2006 and mentions the trip for next year. Also your web address.

There's a small article that runs along the side of page 9 entitled,"Family Getaway." It talks about the trip you finished last summer, how you met your husband in Pakistan, homeschooling, and about your new trip in 2009. It ends with your web site. Tailwind, Kat

So it's NOT something I wrote, is that right??? Whew!! When I didn't hear from Adventure Cycling, I sent the articles to other magazines and have been accepted by them - if it ran in AC, I would be guilty of copyright infringement and all that. I don't want to go there...

The article is on page 9 of the January 2008 edition of Adventure Cyclist. Description of last year's adventure, and the plans for 2009.

Nancy, this may also be an opportunity to update the ACA staff on your plans. I'm at work and don't have the current issue with me but I recall that the sidebar mentioned your trip "next year" when of course you have accelerated your plans to leave <gulp> in June of this year.

Sounds like you need to update them!

Thanks! We are really looking forward to getting back on the road - it'll be soooo wonderful to back out there again.
